Effective: 2026-10-11
In short: everything you enter stays on your device. We don’t collect, store or share your data. Nothing leaves the app unless you choose to send it.
What the app stores
The persons you add (nickname, full name, national ID), their medicines and important information such as allergies, plus your app settings. All of it is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. My Medicines has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of our own.
When data leaves your device
Only when you do it yourself: exporting a file or a backup, sharing or saving a PDF, copying text, sharing the error log, or emailing us. You choose where it goes, and that service’s own terms apply.
Backups
Android’s automatic cloud backup is turned off for this app. Instead, the app keeps up to 7 daily copies of your data in its private storage on your device, so it can be restored if something goes wrong. If the data file is ever damaged, the damaged file is also kept there. To keep a copy somewhere else or move to a new device, use Back up all data in Settings.
Purchases (Android)
Purchases are handled by Google Play. The app only asks Google Play whether it has been purchased; we never see your payment details. The app uses the internet only for this. Google’s privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Error log
To help fix problems, the app keeps a technical error log on your device. Names and ID numbers are removed before anything is written. The log only leaves your device if you share it.
Security
Your data is kept in the app’s private storage, which other apps can’t read. The app does not add its own encryption, so protect your device with a screen lock.
Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays until you delete it. Deleting a person removes all of their data, but the automatic copies on your device can still contain it for up to 7 days. Uninstalling the app removes everything from your device, including the copies. We have no copy, so there’s nothing for us to delete.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and online, with a new date. Questions: info@mymedicines.app
